Hey Folks!
So writing a techno song, that sounds upbeat but has a dark hidden meaning, is really harder then it seems. Though I never thought, when I first started writing songs, that I would be picking up a keyboard and hammering out techno beats! Go figure. But I must say that now, dark ominous house/techno music is definitely one of my favorites to make. It’s so…mechanical. Almost as though the machine, regardless of not having a soul, can have a heart too. It’s very telling to be quite fair. Well, mine is anyway. I’m going for more the VNV Nation, sad dark house/electronica vibe.
On a side note, I have put my album on hold for various reasons. The major one is my song structure, needs a massive rework. Not because it’s not good, but I just don’t feel it is good enough. I feel I need to be tighter than tight with my music, and I need time away from recording to do so. So I’ve been working hard everyday with my guitars, and my keyboards just hammering it out to make it perfect. So keep patient guys! It will get done, it will be free for the first while, and it wont disappoint!
